STAN, YOU ROCK!! :-)

There was once a boy called Stanley whose imagination was too good for a 9 year old. He imagines his mom to be a superwoman who leaps out of a bus and jumps into a train. On another day, he tells Rosie miss about how he nearly killed a guy who was double his size. However, reality has a different story to tell us.

Stanley is an orphan who works nights at his uncle’s run down restaurant. He is used to being slapped and ill-treated by his relative but there’s this positive spark within him which refuses to go out. Like how he lights a candle every night in memory of his parents and how he keeps going to school even though the odds are against him. That’s Stanley for you. A kid seeing rough days but still pulling along.

While in school, we would rather share tiffin with our mates than buy something from the canteen. Food was the main requirement for us while we were in uniform, especially other’s food. Even if he didn’t want to share he didn’t have much of a choice.

For Stanley the choices were limited. He didn’t have a mother to prepare food for him nor did he have a dad who could hold his hand and drop him to school. Coming back to food, Stanley was more accustomed to serving people than being served himself and it was more at school where he felt more at home with his friends.

Speaking of friends it’s in school where you find the best ones. In Stanley’s case, he managed to find a few pearls in the turbulent ocean of his life. He was always surrounded by eager faces that couldn’t get enough of his colourful stories. They not only wanted to hear what he had to say but they also helped him when times were tough in school.

The biggest factor in all this was that not a single soul knew his “real” story. To all he was just an ordinary kid with extraordinary talent. Whether, it was building a lighthouse out of scrap or being a postman to deliver a birthday card to his Rosie Miss, nothing was too big for him.

He’s not your average 9 year old. Go catch STANLEY KA DABBA and you will know what we are talking about.

(P.S: Yes we've ruined the suspense but then again this isn't a review. Cheers!)
